The purpose of the meeting is to receive the Trustees' report and Statement of Accounts for the period ending 31^st March 2025, to appoint an independent examiner of accounts, and to elect officers and members of the Committee of Trustees. Under the charity's constitution all members of the existing committee retire at the AGM.

NOMINATIONS FOR ELECTION TO THE COMMITTEE

Any member of Sawbridgeworth u3a can stand for election as an officer or as a committee member provided that they have been duly nominated and seconded. The Committee would welcome new members to join them in supporting the ongoing work of Sawbridgeworth u3a. All officers and committee members are trustees of the charity.

Nominations must be emailed or posted to reach the Secretary by April 18^th 2025 at the latest.

The nomination form must be signed or authenticated by the Nominee, Proposer and Seconder and include their membership number. Nomination forms can be obtained from the secretary.

Motions:

Any motions to be considered at the AGM must be received by April 18^th 2025 at the latest. Motions require a proposer and a seconder (both of whom should attend the AGM and be prepared to speak in support of the motion) and should be submitted in writing or by email to the Secretary.
